Q: How do you price your work?
-
A: Prices are based on the amount of time it takes me to complete a piece at that given level of detail and cleanliness multiplied by the average minimum wage in America ($10 an hour).
-
-
Q: Why do you ask for a min. 50% deposit after the first sketch? Why can’t I just pay for my commission when it’s done?
-
A: I have a few reasons. Firstly, I offer this option to alleviate the financial burden on my customers, allowing you to pay a smaller portion at two separate times versus a large sum at once. Secondly, this acts as both a mark of trust (that you will compensate me for my work) and a precaution in the event that you or anyone should change their mind and not continue with the piece or refuse to pay me outright.

Q: What's your logo doing on my commission?
-
A: That my friend is called a watermark! It's intended to protect my work from being stolen and discredited by others (at least, before I've been compensated for it. I normally remove the mark once I've been paid in full for the art piece.
Note: Its always common courtesy to credit any artist (not just me) for the work they've done for you. Even if you haven't agreed to it prior, they really appreciate it when you mention them in your posts and to your friends (this acknowledges their hard work as well as help them get more work in the future!)

Q: Is there anything you won’t do?
-
A: Yes, assume anything NSFW is out of the question. Characters must be clothed to some degree and will not engage in inappropriate touching of themselves or others. Commissions of excessive gore, violence, or satanic themes will be rejected as well.
Exceptions: If you are uncertain about anything I’ve mentioned above, don’t be afraid to ask! I am always open to discussion and willing to make exceptions to an extent (ex. bathing suits are super okay! I'm also a hopeless romantic and have no issue drawing characters from shows like Hazbin Hotel). And should I still reject your commission, please do not feel shame or judgment on my part! Everyone has the right to like what they like and believe what they believe - there are simply some things I personally do not feel comfortable drawing or selling.

-
Q: After I’ve paid for my commission, I can do whatever I want, right?
-
A: In general, the work I create for you is intended for personal use only, unless discussed with me ahead of time [see ‘Logos’ and ‘Collaborations’]. This means you are not allowed to use my art to advertise any products or use my art in the creation of products to be sold (such as pins, stickers, key chains, bags, t-shirts, etc) without my consent. Doing so is a violation of copyright laws. However, these laws apply to me as well. I in turn will not display or reuse any art which includes original characters you produce without obtaining your permission first (regardless of my contribution in the design process, these characters and worlds are your intellectual property and I wish to respect them as such).
